- Floaters, flashes of light, or phosphenes appear in the visual field. These symptoms concern the vitreous and retina, not the color of the iris, but they warrant a fundus examination.
A stable bicolored iris since childhood is a genetic curiosity, not a pathology. The most reliable criterion remains the timeline: what has always been there is rarely concerning. What appears or changes rapidly deserves verification.
